As a child, I grew up with a father who had a camera attached to his eye. Everywhere our family went, he was documenting the moments with the latest and best photography and videography equipment.  The apple doesn't fall far from the tree...

My love of photography really began to take root back in college with a modeling career placing me on the front end of the camera.  I loved the entire process from the clothing to the lighting and observing how photographers would setup and frame a shot before I stepped into it.  Then seeing the end result of beautiful photos, made me begin looking through lenses of my own. At the time with 35mm film. 

The film era was exciting because I had to trust my eye to get everything right before clicking the shutter.  It was never a good feeling when a photo I was excited to have developed turned out blurry or in poor lighting beyond being fixable.  The digital generation doesn't realize how much more straightforward they have it being able to shoot and develop a shot in the same moment.

While there is less of an element of surprise with a digital camera, it is extremely satisfying being able to control the shoot in the moment, and to adjust when factors such as lighting, background or wardrobe are off to obtain consistent results of compelling photos.
